Updated Friday at 6'30pm. Intermittent thundershowers pounded western Washington throughout the day today; 1/4 to 1/2" hail reported...with video of a funnel cloud in the Buckley/Enumclaw area. More thundershowers are likely tonight with locally gusty winds, hail, damaging winds and lightning strikes. Lows in the low to mid 40's.Snow will continue in the passes; dangerous waves/swell  in excess of 20 feet will pound the coast.

Cool, moist and unstable air will maintain a strong threat of showers AND thundershowers Saturday, especially from late morning through the afternoon. Swell/waves will begin to ease later Saturday...but dangerous conditions will remain along the coast. Snow, heavy at times, will fall in the passes; 4-16" is possible, especially in the higher passes. Decreasing showers are likely Saturday night and Sunday with some clearing.

Have a good weekend! Jeff Renner / KING5 Chief Meteorologist
